Walker went to the Germantown Friends School located in Philadelphia's Germantown, where she received the diploma in 1994. In 1998, she earned a bachelor's of arts diploma at Harvard College. Welker was married with John Hughes of Merck Philadelphia in Philadelphia is mother to two. In 2014 the couple began to engage in an affair. John his husband, John's father is a year older than him.
