
Stephanie Sigman is a Mexican-American actress. Her first role was in Miss Bala (2011), a Mexican crime-drama film. The actress went on to be seen in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015), Going Under (2016) and Annabelle: Creation (2017). Sigman was a major character in Narcos (2015), S.W.A.T. (2017) and the second season of both of the series. Sigman was the daughter of a Mexican mother, and an American father, Lee Sigman (a New York Yankees Scout from Kansas) They both were born in Ciudad Obregon. Sigman is a U.S. citizen through her father. His brother who is a baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman, was earlier engaged to actress Barbara Mori Sigman began her career appearing on Mexican TV before making her film debut in Rio de Oro. She played the principal role of Laura Guerrero (Miss Bala), a Mexican crime-drama. The film was nominated for the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 84th Academy Awards.[7][8] However, it was not on the final list. [9] Sigman was nominated for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award in the year 2011 for her role in the film. In the following year, she appeared as Catalina Aguado in the Canadian documentary film Flight of the Butterflies. In 2013, Sigman starred with Pioneer which was a Norwegian thriller.
