Amy Smart has been a model, actress and a former American. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modeling professional career in Italy. Her acting career started in 1996, when she was a character in the TV film Her Costly Affair. It took a long time to get her into Starship Troopers in a smaller role. She struggled with the transition into acting since models weren't considered skilled actors and usually got small roles. Amy was never discouraged. Her first big roles were in The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. Amy then stepped into main roles for the 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy gained recognition after more than ten years of trying. She did some big films in the Crank trilogy opposite Jason Statham. And she was also a regular character on the Shameless series.
