Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor Director Producer and vocalist. An attractive and intelligent actress, she's an inspirational model for many Asian actors looking to be successful in Hollywood. After a series of appearances in popular television shows, she became famous when she was featured in The Ally McBeal legal comedy where she was Ling Woo. She translated her newfound fame to roles on the big screen for Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels as well as other movies. The actress then gave a superb performance as Japanese criminal lord O'RenIshii, in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. Also, she portrayed leading roles in box office failures like Rise: Blood Hunter. Later, she was able to start voicing characters from animated films such as Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's performance was in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen production, didn't produce satisfactory results. The role she played in the critically acclaimed police drama Southland has helped her reestablish herself as an actress of note. Liu is very careful in making her choices so it doesn't result in her being typecast within a highly competition-driven industry. She has accepted her Chinese roots but hasn't let it affect her art.
